Our very own Phil Ormesher was invited to appear on Radio Manchester this week in the light of the Jeremy Clarkson prostate cancer news. Phil was interviewed about prostate cancer diagnosis and testing. He reinforced the messages about the importance of early diagnosis to improve outcomes for all men as well as the lack of symptoms which can be misleading for many men, hence the need for proactive PSA testing. He also emphasised the higher risks for black men, those with family history of prostate cancer and those with the defective BRCA gene.
