- [Destigmatise - Black Community Cancer Campaign](https://prostatecancersupport.org/destigmatise-black-community-cancer-campaign/): Understanding and Addressing Prostate Cancer Stigma in Black Men PCS is delighted to help publicise the Destigmatise campaign run by Hull York Medical School. Launched in March 2026, this initiative is looking to understand and tackle stigma associated with prostate cancer within Black communities across the UK by asking for responses to an online survey. Prostate cancer is the most common cancer affecting men in the United Kingdom. - [Driving for Success with Arriva](https://prostatecancersupport.org/driving-for-success-with-arriva/): PCS was delighted to be invited to deliver prostate cancer awareness training to Arriva in Liverpool this week. This opportunity was the direct result of the recent testing day which we ran at Halton Hornets. Ian, Phil and Martin made the trip across the M62 to spend a very positive and productive morning with Arriva’s Health and Champions. - [Brewing for Success](https://prostatecancersupport.org/brewing-for-success/): Another successful testing event – this time courtesy of our friends at Robinsons. On Sunday, we provided PSA tests for 125 men at the Brewery Visitor Centre complete with attendance from one of their magnificent shire horses. This event was funded by Robinsons for which we are extremely grateful and they also provided all attendees with the option of sampling Checkmate, the session ale specially produced for the charity. - [Every Step Counts](https://prostatecancersupport.org/every-step-counts/): We are delighted to have been the recipient of a generous £1300 donation from Clitheroe Wolves Walking Football Club. Their brilliant fund raising work will enable Prostate Cancer Support to continue to offer help for patients in the community and allowing the charity to continue providing PSA testing, especially in deprived areas. Richard went to Clitheroe to receive the cheque and to thank the club for their commitment and generosity.

Robinsons has just released Checkmate – this is a specially-brewed ale for Prostate Cancer Support and an element of sales will go towards providing funds for the charity’s work. - [Getting There With Arriva](https://prostatecancersupport.org/getting-there-with-arriva/): Another successful testing event carried out in partnership with Arriva – our first engagement with Arriva and hopefully the start of a country wide awareness and testing programme together. In partnership with the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust, 62 tests were carried out – with 5 red and 2 amber flags recorded, an 11% result which yet again underlines the importance of testing even when no symptons are displayed. - [Winners at Manchester City !](https://prostatecancersupport.org/winners-at-manchester-city/): The lucky winners of our recent Manchester City Champions League Matchday Experience raffle enjoyed a memorable evening out at the match versus Galatasaray on 28th January. They were treated to pre-match fine dining before watching City come out on top with a 2-0 win. - [Testing Day at Halton Hornets](https://prostatecancersupport.org/testing-day-at-halton-hornets/): We held another highly successful prostate cancer testing event at Halton Hornets Rugby League recently in conjunction with the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust. Together we helped fund the testing of 424 men during the course of the day – 17% were assessed with Red or Amber risk as a result of their simple PSA test – of course, many will not have prostate cancer but all will at the very least now be aware of the risks and able to request further investigation with their GPs. - [Celestial Church Testing & Awareness](https://prostatecancersupport.org/test-post/): As part of our community engagment and awareness, Prostate Cancer Support recently supported a testing event held at the Celestial Church in Walkden. Ian Cameron from PCS was invited to help with Esther and Jasmine from Women with Wings for this event. The testing session and information exchange was very well received by the congregation, especially important as the incidence of prostate cancer in black men is 1 in 4.
- [Manchester City Champions League Raffle Prize](https://prostatecancersupport.org/manchester-city-champions-league-raffle-prize/): We had a matchday package for four people for the Champions League match v Galatasaray on 28th January. This was generously donated by Manchester City Football Club. We have raffled this amazing prize to raise funds for vital PSA testing, especially to benefit those in deprived areas. This campaign was very sucessful with all ticket sales going to underpin Prostate Cancer Support’s work to raise awareness and support those affected by prostate cancer. - [Gawsworth Hall Classic Car Shows](https://prostatecancersupport.org/article-3/): Each year we are given a stand at the Gawsworth Hall Youngtimer and Classic Car Shows on the first and last Bank Holidays in May. Our unique awareness stand includes our Classic Cars as the “Trap” to start conversations. Many thanks to Rupert Richards the owner of the Hall who gives us our pitches FOC and who is a great supporter of raising awareness on our behalf.

Andrew helps us be raising funds and awareness at these PGA events mainly through his “Beat The Pro” challenge. - [Lymm Transport Festival](https://prostatecancersupport.org/article-1/): Each year we attend the Lymm Historic Transport Festival with our unique awareness stand which includes our Classic Cars as the “Trap” to start conversations. The event is very well attended with usually over 8,000 people passing through the event. This year, as previously, the local MP Esther McVey visited our stand and we are proud to have her support in giving us access to the All-Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on Prostate Cancer.
