We held another highly successful prostate cancer testing event at Halton Hornets Rugby League recently in conjunction with the Graham Fulford Charitable Trust. Together we helped fund the testing of 424 men during the course of the day – 17% were assessed with Red or Amber risk as a result of their simple PSA test – of course, many will not have prostate cancer but all will at the very least now be aware of the risks and able to request further investigation with their GPs.
This is just one example of the awareness and testing work carried out by the charity with our partners, helping to save lives. As always, we are extremely grateful to the fantastic people from Graham Fulford Charitable Trust without whom this community engagement event could not happen.
